The National Seminar on Research Methodology, was hosted by SOLS, CMR University on February 6th, 2021. The keynote Speech was delivered by Prof. R. Venkat Rao who is the Chairperson of Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies and Former Vice Chancellor of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Following this, Prof. T.V. Subba Rao, Prof. Ashwani Kumar and Prof. Shashikala Gurpur discussed the Scientific Method and Research Design, Methods & Approaches for Monitoring & Evaluation (ME) in Social Sciences and Online Hate Speech and the Law respectively. Effective legal research is extremely necessary in creating effective policies in addressing situations in view of the growing popularity of an interdisciplinary approach towards the subject. The seminar intended to examine the impact of research on the process of formulation, analysis and interpretation of the law and it was surely very informative and proved to be helpful for the students, academicians and researchers.
