Prof. (Dr.) T. R. Subramanya honoured with Advocate General Sri S.G. Sundaraswamy Centenary Award at Capital Foundation Annual Awards 2025

Prof. (Dr.) T. R. Subramanya, Dean of CMR University School of Legal Studies, Bengaluru, was honored with the prestigious Advocate General Sri S.G. Sundraswamy Centenary Award at the Capital Foundation Annual Awards 2025. Currently serving as the Dean of CMR University School of Legal Studies, Bengaluru Prof. Subramanya has played a pivotal role in establishing nine research centers dedicated to continuous legal research and leads the publication of several significant legal journals, including the UGC CARE Group 1-listed CMR University Journal for Contemporary Legal Affairs. Prof. Subramanya is recognized for his impactful academic leadership and legal scholarship. He has served as Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, as well as Dean and Chairman of the Faculty of Law at Bangalore University. He has contributed to the legal community internationally by serving as Legal Adviser to the Kingdom of Bahrain, gaining valuable insight into comparative legal systems. He holds a Ph.D. in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University and is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Dr. Rajkumar State Award for his contributions to education. His extensive academic output includes notable books and guided research in both national and international law

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:45 PM at the Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana. Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and presented the awards. The event also featured a lecture on “Challenges Before Parliamentary Democracy in India” by Dr. Sasmit Patra, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.
