Ramya.R graduated in law and then earned an LL.M. in Special Contracts and Mercantile Law. She has been a teaching faculty for the last 5 years and a practitioner for 7 years prior to that. She has presented and published numerous research papers on various topics such as climate change, gender equality, food safety and security, and the right to food and the right to life. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Alliance University and doing her research on the topic “LEGAL REGULATION OF THE USE OF CHEMICALS IN FOOD INDUSTRIES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO INTERNATIONAL TRADE”. She is the faculty coordinator of the Center for International Legal Studies, the Social Impact Club, and a member of the Center for Studies on New India, through which she has organized and coordinated a number of seminars, conferences, guest lectures, and various community events.
