National Seminar on Recent Trends in Constitutional Law

On Monday, 2nd March, School of Legal Studies, CMR University, National Seminar on Recent Trends in Constitutional Law. It is one of the main academic events we organize every year. Some of the most experienced professors with immeasurable experience addressed the participants. Dr. Dilip Ukey, Vice Chancellor of MNLU Mumbai, Dr. V.S. Mallar, Former Chair Professor, VR Krishna Iyer Chair & Former Registrar, NLSIU, Dr. Shahsikala Gurpur, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune & Former Member of the National Law Commission and Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, Director, Symbiosis, Hyderabad were the honourable resource and enlightened the participants on vrious current issues related to Constitutional Law.

We also released our flagship publication, “CMR UNIVERSITY JOURNAL FOR CONTEMPORARY LEGAL AFFAIRS”. This journal is registered with RNI and has been allocated an ISSN number. The maiden issue consists of about 16 scholarly papers by experienced researchers from premiere legal institutions in India including a masterfully composed article on clinical legal education by the Late Prof. Madhava Menon, the father of modern legal education in India and the recipient of Padma Bhushan award posthumously in 2020. It also consists of articles by 5 former vice chancellors, the sitting vice chancellor of Karnataka State Law University, Dr. Ishwara Bhat and some notable academicians like Dr. Ashwani Kumar from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Samir Kumar Das, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha, Dr. Venkatachala Hegde and Dr. Sandeepa Bhat and the great historian and author from Mangalore, the late Dr. Surendra Rao. It also features articles of a highly practical perspective by professionals like Justice AV Chandrashekar, Former Judge, High COurt of Karnataka and Dr. M.K. Nagaraj, IPS (Retd).
